Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is a country located in the heart of Central Asia. It borders with Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan. With a population of around 36 million people, Uzbekistan is the most populous country in the region. The country is the third by area in Central Asia and 57th in the world.
Uzbekistan has a rich history that dates back thousands of years. The region has been ruled by various empires and kingdoms, including Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, and Tamerlane. As a result, Uzbekistan is home to a wealth of historical and cultural sites, including some of the most impressive examples of Islamic architecture in the world.
Karshi
Karshi is a city located in the South of Uzbekistan. It has more than 2700-year history, dating back to the 1st century BCE when it was a major center of the Kushan Empire. Over the centuries, the city was ruled by various empires and kingdoms, including the Timurids, the Shaybanids, and the Bukhara Emirate.
Today, Karshi is a bustling city with modern and traditional influences. The city is home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including a 14th-century madrasah (Islamic educational institution), namely Oydina, and a number of late 19th-century madrasahs that represent a unique architectural style of Bukhara Emirate.
